  1. Here you will find the real great leader. He is so respected by the people if Turkey. Graduated student will bring their certificate to take photo here. Paying respect. Today I see a ceremony of respect to Ataturk – the great leader. Unfortunately my tour do not allow me enough time to see the museum (you have to spend at least more than an hour to see this Wonder museum). The view is amazing to all directions. I also see the guard changing.

  2. A must go when visiting Ankara. Be respectful and follow the instructions of the custodians. Visit around noon to afternoon to witness the changing of guards and a beautiful moment when everyone stand solemnly while the national anthem proudly playing under the Turkish flag. Amazing!

  3. A must visit nice place if you are in Ankara.
Architectural and historical place, it’s a public crowded place but well managed.
They played anthem after some time don’t know exactly when but during that everyone stopped with respect and listen to it, and that was a different experience. So quiet and its like time is paused.
On entrance gate they took backpack and stored in a locker.
Surrounding to the location you can see the street shopping places.

  4. If you pass by Ankara and you like history, it’s a must see place. The monument for Ataturk, the hero of Turkey. All free, a beautiful garden, audio guides in many languages. I met several Turkish people there and many children. They deserve more about their future. God bless Turkish people.

  5. A large funerary complex honouring the founder of modern Turkey
Ataturk is revered throughout Turkey and his mausoleum is here. It is well worth seeing if in Ankara. It is quite a busy site, as there are many Turkish tourists here, but the queues for security move quite quickly and the site itself is large. The tomb is a simple marble affair in a large temple-like building. There are museums nearby to give an idea of his life and times. It means a lot to Turkish people, but is worth visiting for tourists as well.

Every Turkish city has at least one monument to Kemal Ataturk who was a freedom fighter, great reformist and founder of the modern republic.
This statue is right in downtown on a busy square, in vicinity of two important sites – the first and second Turkish Parliament. Great photo op and tribute.

Beautiful monument of Atatürk located in the heart of Ankara in Ulus square.

The monument is standing since 1927 and it’s designed by the Austrian sculptor Heinrich Krippel. (who also designed numerous other monuments of Atatürk across the country)

This place is very big, beautiful and glorious.
Pine trees can be seen in all their beauty.
There is order, tranquility and a beautiful view of the city.
The huge sculptures and the view of the courtyard reminded me of ancient Greece.

Came to visit this mosque and spend the day out with the family on this Sunday. The kids enjoyed the day and had a lot of fun. We were able to pray and get something to eat. All in all it was quality time and spiritual experience. We were able to come by car and it has free of charge underground parking.

An area of great interest. The ancient Roman temple anointing this mosque is outstanding in its history and importance. The mosque itself is rather lovely too. The area surrounding this piece of history is beautiful and rich in restaurants and shops with souvenirs and religious artifacts.

Large and beautiful old mosque, yet felt very modern with escalators and plenty of space. Wudu/WC facilities are free but no paper towels. Roman ruins onsite and an amazing view of the city

This place is perfect for religious destination. The area was in open space as well. But be careful of the shops around, most of them are overpriced.
